Line Maintenance (Transit, daily and weekly checks)
Consists of a series of periodic inspections that must be carried out on all commercial/civilian aircraft after a specific time or after a specific use. Airlines and other commercial aircraft operators are governed by a continuous inspection program approved by the aeronautical authority.
Component replacements
The performance rules for replacement of components and materials used in the maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration of aircraft that have (or have had) a U.S. airworthiness certificate, and components thereof, are specified in § 43.13 and part 145, § 145.201. These rules require that the installer of a part use methods, techniques, and practices acceptable to the FAA.
Engine Removal / Installation.
This job has different criteria to be carried out. Flight hours, flight cycles, hard time components or damages during operation of any components. Procedures for removing or installing an aircraft engine usually varies widely depending the type of the aircraft and the type of engine. Therefore, no single list of instructions can be provided as a guideline for all engines.
Engine Preserving
An engine without used for a long time will be deteriorated especially by corrosion, degradation of the fluids it contains like oils and lubricants. As well as exposure to bad weather that produces external oxidation. This is why precautions must be taken to protect the engine and more from these damages.
Engine periodic inspections.
The majority of aircrafts engine most be inspected at regular intervals representing certain number of flight hours to ensure proper operation of components and the parts.
Compressor and turbine washes.
When a turbine gets dirty internally, it can be decisive for the air flow to be reduced, there is less pressure rate and therefore it is less efficient. To always have a turbine in optimal conditions, it is advisable to carry out a regular and deep washing for a great turbine clean up , We also add a special fluid which is injected directly in the compressor to remove severe deposits of dirt and to optimize the performance of the machine.
Unscheduled maintenance on most airframe types.
Unscheduled maintenance occurs when there is an unexpected issue with the aircraft that must be addressed immediately to ensure the safety of pilots and passengers.
Minor service check
(A checks)
These inspections are performed every 400-600 hours or every 200-300 cycles (the takeoff and landing are considered one cycle for the aircraft), The regularity of these revisions depends on the type of aircraft, as well as the total number of cycles or the number of hours of flight since the previous revision.
Minor Inspections.
The Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) requires the inspection of all civil aircraft at specific intervals, to assure that the aircraft condition is equal to its original or properly altered condition with regard to aerodynamic function, structural strength, and resistance to vibration.
Aircraft pre-purchase evaluations
A pre-purchase inspection is not an annual inspection, although the buyer and seller could agree to such an arrangement. The goal is to examine the aircraft for damage and wear that might not be evident to an untrained eye and to form an educated guess as to maintenance problems that might arise in the future.
